Who doesn’t know this feeling? The need to escape the office in the concrete jungle, so many of us find ourselves in every day. What if, instead, you could spend a long refreshing weekend in a beachside paradise? That is what the O3 Surf Festival is all about! O3 stands for Our Ocean Oasis. It also stands for “Out of Office”, “Out of the ordinary”, and “Out on the Ocean”. As a name, O3 implies our heart’s desire to escape the concrete jungle to a tropical beachside paradise. The festival wants to bring Taiwan’s beach culture closer to our everyday lives!
As promised before, the second part of our interview with Stephan Schott got a little bit more technical. We wanted to know what it takes to keep a car running in such extreme conditions, like those at the Rally Dakar or the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge!
In our last post, we introduced Stephan Schott, one of the Top-20 Pilots at the Rally Dakar. He is part of the X-Raid team and currently taking part in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2022. It is notorious for going through the rough, unforgiving desert with extreme driving conditions challenging even the most experienced racers. And of course, we will be covering this exciting race and keep you updated on the team’s performance!
As part of the X-Raid team, Stephan Schott races near and far; most famously, Stephan is one of the Top-20 pilots at the Rally Dakar. To support him and his team for future races, Mitcorp has become a sponsor and provided them with our X2000 videoscope! In our two-part interview series, we want to introduce Stephan Schott, his story, his motivations, his goals, and of course, his racing experience! The second part will get more technical because we wanted to know how to keep the car in one piece during these races and how a good videoscope can make a difference!
This year’s Taiwan Automation Show has ended. It was four exciting days during which we met many amazing people and had interesting conversations. We are glad to have this show, especially since opportunities to talk face to face have become much rarer since the start of the pandemic. Thank you to everyone who has joined us! We hope to see you all again soon!
